Potato Chip Chairs??

I recently purchased a pair of Charles and Ray Eames fibreglass shell side chairs in parchment for Herman Miller. I found it very funny that the particular auction house from whom I purchased called them “Potato Chip Chairs”. For whatever reason it struck me very funny. I mean why call them that? Do they look like potato chips? I am most certain that they are not made from recycled potatoes! 😂
Anyway, the shell, er.. chip chairs are in dire need of a good cleaning, but are structurally sound, and in remarkably good condition. I’ll post a picture this afternoon.
