Our story

Punk Dad Vintage began in 1996 under the name Elliott’s Antiques as a way for then teenager, TJ Elliott, to raise money for future world travels. Growing up in the family antique business, TJ proved to be a quick study from a young age. Through research and experience, he eagerly accumulated knowledge of many genres and styles, developing a passion for 18th century Pennsylvania furniture and folk art.

In his 20’s and 30’s, TJ spent several months each year traveling throughout Europe, Asia, and South America where he gained an appreciation for fine art and architecture. With his love of global travel and exploring new places, he began to study and acquire objects made in the countries of his explorations, developing a rather curious affinity for all things Chinoiserie.

After several decades of experience in the antiques field, TJ has an expert eye for design, construction, form, and function.

In his spare time (when there is some!) TJ enjoys making fine cocktails and delicious food with his lovely wife Kayla and enjoying being a “punk dad” to daughter, Selena. You will undoubtedly see them out and about at auctions or antique shoppes, sourcing new objects for your desire.
